I’ve never been one for daily devotionals so I was a little reluctant to choose one for a book review. But if you know me at all, you know I’ll read just about anything. So why not, I’ll give a devotional a try.
A Year with God is divided into topics:
- Hope and Fear
- Love and Hate
- Perseverance and Quitting
- Faith and Doubt
- Loyalty and Betrayal
- Companionship and Isolation
- Mercy and Judgment
- Forgiveness and Anger
- Joy and Sadness
- Peace and Conflict
This devotional references more Scripture on a daily basis compared to other ones I’ve tried but I found myself wanting more to chew on than just a paragraph of two of reflection.
I’m still not a fan but if you enjoy devotions, I think you’ll like A Year With God. I’m giving my copy away so if you’d like, just leave a comment below.
(I received this copy of A Year With God from Thomas Nelson Publishers as part of their Book Sneeze blogging program. I was not required to write a favorable review.)

No way!! I changed my mind. I want this one.
I got on Book Sneeze from your blog earlier today and was looking around and trying to decide if I had time to be a part of it. I decided I didn’t, but saw reviews from this on there and decided I must get it!
Send me your mailing address, Sweet Annie and I’ll send it to you.
